Psychic

Deceptive offers received through mail, email or online offering psychic services such as:

• lottery number predictions
• a lucky charm
• removing a jinx

You need to pay a fee, usually in cash, to sign up or continue services. After you pay the initial fee, the scammer sends a follow-up message. They state that your name will be sent to collections if you don't send more payments, or they'll place a curse on you.

Victims have reported they've received these solicitations from Canada, the United States, and the Netherlands.
